Counselling provides you with an opportunity to present issues that are causing you concern, difficulty or distress to someone who is trained and experienced in providing psychological and relational help. As your therapist I will respect you as a person, respect your confidences and honour your trust.
Our first meeting will give us the time to clarify what therapy will involve, discussing the areas you wish to cover and to discuss what support might be helpful to you.
This initial session will also give you the opportunity to ask any questions and to decide if you would like to proceed with counselling.
My private practice is in a peaceful ground floor room in Harleston. I am also happy to work with you on the telephone.
My practice is informed by the Humanistic perspective. I work with a person-centred approach believing in the value of the therapeutic relationship and offering confidentiality and empathy in a safe and non-judgemental environment.
The therapeutic relationship can facilitate personal development, growth and understanding and so enable you to make positive life changes if you choose to do so.
I can help you to explore and clarify your thoughts and feelings and with greater awareness and clarity it is possible to have a clearer understanding of ourselves and others.
If you would like to speak to me about any of the above or have any queries please do not hesitate to give me a call.
